We have a plethora of chain restaurants, Italian restaurants, pizza places etc. I know that a vegan/organic food restaurant such as It’s Only Natural, in Middletown, would do an exceptional business in Bristol and give our taste buds a treat!

I’d like to have a raw food restaurant with fresh vegetable juices and green smoothies. Manhattan has so many–rarely out of sight. Raw is catching on fast. A couple I’ve found is Alchemy Cafe in Harford and Catch a Healthy Habit in West Haven. Entrees and desserts are all raw, varied and creative. They have food preparation classes, pot luck diners, guest speakers and more–they even sell health related items,ie, books and whatever. It’s interactive fun and life enriching. A welcoming atmosphere. Wild Oats used to have the raw juices, but Whole Foods left that behind. I asked Mark at Super Natural about a juice bar, but it never happened.
Great idea. It’s just what we need around here, some variety.
This is such a great idea! I love it! More vegetables and fruit!
That’s a great idea! That definitely takes it one step further! It’s more like Cafe Gratitude in California in that respect…
I wonder if something like this could not only be a restaurant but a community that shares recipes and healthy eating/living habits. In Paris, there was a cafe/diner with a daycare upstairs. Certain days of the week, they had inexpensive couscous downstairs while parents took their kids upstairs for yoga and a music circle. That might make it a more interactive location with a differentiated competitive advantage.
Great idea. The trend towards body specific diets is finally catching on, not like a fad diet, but like a real diet that really works and supports healthy living.
Great idea Lindsay! We need diversity which will attract everyone’s different tastes.
I have been, and they do have a pretty good selection, but the meals are very deli-style, not quite the full selection of vegan meals like at It’s Only Natural. ION also has a nice sit down restaurant atmosphere, good artwork on the walls and a great selection of vegan cuisine as well as drinks. I think this would be great especially as a dinner location.
I think this is a good idea.Have you ever been to “The Super Natural Market” in Bristol? They already have a great selection of vegetarian/vegan food.
