Why don’t all the restaurants, ice cream parlor, taverns have a monthly night out down town where they can serve outside (if weather permits) & in, and all of Bristol can support these entrepreneurs who pay taxes and have hung in there Downtown. Day after day. Night after night! No food carts/trucks.
If you want development downtown these are the people who are sticking their necks out, hanging in there,putting their money down on the table and supporting downtown by being their all the time. Keep the street open and have people enjoy the night!
How about starting it this June and run through September . Maybe the Chamber can help organize this.

This is a wonderful idea Tom! I’ve seen something along the same lines on websites of downtowns I’ve been researching. We close the Boulevard so people can walk, why not downtown? Businesses could put out tables, chairs, benches…maybe a little music and Bristol could hang out, spend money and support local busineses! Let’s do it!
