Mixed Income/Age/Ability Housing

The current utopian concept of Bristol Rising seems to overlook or devalue to some degree the historically disenfranchised segment of the population. Truly integrated, mixed housing would ensure that 10% to 30% of new housing units would be evenly distributed for low income, disabled, elderly, mentally challenged, developmentally challenged and homeless individuals and families. This would encourage neighbors to get to know others from different backgrounds and circumstances, foster mutual respect and encourage neighbors to help one another and look out for one another.

  1. Apartments are not going to attact people to the downtown area, waste of time I think.

  2. I think this goes against what Bristol rising is trying to accomplish. I agree with Debra on this

  3. until you clean up the surrounding area how can a person live downtown
