Imagine a dance floor that you could assemble in a public piazza that could be used for cultural dances, ballroom competitions, events, pagaents, fairground festivals, that would provide vibrancy, and vitality to the public as well as onlookers in the square.

I like this…it can appeal to all generations and bring people downtown.
I saw these dance floors in Europe around beer gardens and cafes. In the States they were in amusement parks. There was one in New Britain on Farmington Ave. some years back. If you’re invigorated by fresh air and if you love to dance–this combination is a unique experience. Combined with the unlimited openness of outdoors–it’s so much fun. I call it dancing out loud. Some dance floors look like boxing rings others are more ornate. No matter. They are all in an open area and the dancing is to the music of a live band.
I love this idea. Getting different groups to do special dance performances. Anything from Native American Hoop dancers, Flamenco, Polka, Ballroom, Swing, etc. Could go on and on here!
Love this – so much fun!
