Arts based events that celebrate different cultures, featuring diverse art, dance, music, fashion shows, historical/legendary skits, etc.

Capoeira, for example, a Brazilian martial arts dubbed “dance fight,” is a vibrant spectacular to see and listen. They sing in Portuguese, play instruments, and do astonishing acrobatics. The Annual Asian & Boat Race Festival in Hartford, is another popular example. It does not exclude others, it features people all over demonstrating different martial arts, dances, etc.

Culturally diverse elements indoors/outdoors associated with the Visual & Performing Arts Centre would bring a very unique presence, attract crowds from different cities and provide an educational experience. It would be awesome to see this presence downtown!
