I know the idea of a bookstore/cafe was entered but bookstores haven’t had much luck in Bristol. Also, many books are now bought online or downloaded. The coffeehouse would an ideal gathering place that could also offer live music. Common Grounds in Branford is attched. You can also find Caffeine’s in Unionville online.

I drove to niantic the other day just to go to a used bookstore that i knew would be open when i got there, tow hours of driving…would rather walk downtown!
This is great because while Starbucks is a terrific hang, it would be so nice to have a real mom and pop shop as an alternative. Coffeehouses are great because you can linger over a coffee and pastry for not a lot of money and talk and enjoy someone’s company and do it in any kind of weather. Add the WiFi and you have a winner!
