If we desire to have a thriving arts community, we have to have stores to supply them! Why drive to Plainville or West Hartford to keep your studio flush? My vision is a Jerry’s Artarama type store but even an AC Moore would be ok…

Being an artist who loves painting, I am always in need for new canvas, brushes, paint, etc.
I am seventeen but I do not drive and it is a hassle trying to get someone to take me to Blick to get my supplies.
Having a supply store in walking distance would be fantastic not only for myself and other local artists, it would be great for the schools to join forces with the store to get their supplies more locally.
Also, it would be great to have supplies near by so artists can go out into the piazza and work freely. Perhaps the store can rent easels to artists as they work outside.
Classes can also be held there to bring in people from surrounding towns and extra money.
An art store in the area is a great idea…!!
Great idea !! Bristol sure has enough artists to support a Jerry’s.
