The fields at Memorial Blvd. School would be a perfect place for an amphitheatre to hold outdoor concerts, poetry readings, Renaissance Fairs and Shakespeare plays.

While I love the aesthetics of Rockwell Park, I never go there. Why? I don’t feel safe. Years ago my young son was almost attacked by a roaming pit bull there. Unfortunately, the area surrounding the park is not the best and is not a place where I would go to see entertainment. It’s also not part of the downtown renovation plans.
Has anyone noticed the amphitheater they’ve build in Rockwell Park? Rockwell Park is right around the corner, and they’ve done an amazing job with the renovations. Not sure what the plans are for the amphitheater there but it looks great and I’m sure we could join forces with the city and pitch some ideas their way for events/concerts/etc. PS – To anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about, you should take a stroll through Rockwell Park, the transformation is amazing!
