We’re shooting for the stars in terms of entertainment at this year’s event! Join in the conversation as we discuss bands and other acts and if you’re up for helping us land some of these stellar acts, let us know!

Make sure to drop any “name” bands in this thread so we can start trying to reach out!

Alanis Morissette is the first on the list.

    Some ambitious ideas!

Those bands are a whole lotta swag. We need to look into the $ amounts for them and then see if they are available, and then try to narrow down to some we think would be feasible and people would be excited by and then do a kickstarter account to raise funds.

Cajun Ray and the Steamers, Love Note Sentiment, Sheryl Crow, Rockapella

Well after looking into this, it is pretty unrealistic to get a huge name, but there could be some known but smaller acts to go by which we’ll investigate further.

We would need to set this up for crowd funding tho, cause raising the coin just knocking on doors would be not too realistic.

I’m starting to get a lot of submissions from local bands seeing our bristol rising blasts and from people who want to help. That’s awesome!

Im compiling names of local acts, and they don’t necessarily have to be bands. We are probably looking again at that sweet spot of 5 or 6 bands again, with in between acts to keep the stage active.

So if anyone has any ideas on the 10-15 min ‘in betweeners’ that’d be divine. For example, last year we had local dance groups doing numbers, or local threatre groups doing little something, or Varasconis doing a self defense demo.

Toss it all out and we’ll stick it together in the end.

    Mark/Jess,

One idea I thought would be a good idea in between acts would be a K-9 demonstration or Fidelco Guide dog demonstration.

The Fitness Center for Women has Zumba classes…maybe in one of the 15 minute segments they could give a demo.

We owe the Convertibles a full set to play since they were rained out last year.
