One of our events before re-opening in a new physical location is based on a topic that is important to many people, including some of the Bare Bones Team.
Many people are faced with physical and mental afflictions that are not visible to those around them. “Invisible Diseases” is a broad name for these, and can include conditions such as: Diabetes, MS, Lupus, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Lyme Disease, Fibromyalgia, Cancer , HIV/AIDS, STDs, Autism, ADHD, and countless others.
Living with conditions that people might never be aware you (or a loved one) have, can be a heavy burden to bear. It is important that awareness, education and support are available. Coupled with health professionals, people living with these conditions, and art therapy, Bare Bones hopes to bring this type of forum to our community, outside a hospital setting.
