About the Project

The revitalization of downtown Bristol will center on the concepts of smart growth and green building design, utilizing a comprehensive and holistic approach to redeveloping your downtown. This approach represents a triple bottom line philosophy of social, economic and environmental sensitivity that will provide significant benefits to the entire Bristol community.

Below is the Depot Square Unified Downtown Development Project Special Permit Application that was submitted to the City of Bristol on April 30, 2012:

Below is the Renaissance Downtowns Concept Plan, submitted to the City of Bristol on April 25, 2011, and viewed over 2600 times!

At this early juncture, it is impossible to state exactly what the project will eventually entail. The rationale for this is the desire for Renaissance Downtowns at Bristol to work with the City and the community to create a SHARED VISION for the redevelopment that reflects the desires and wishes of the City and the community. While it is important to meet the needs of the City and its residents, it is just as important to design a redevelopment plan that will meet the needs of the market to ensure a sustainable project that will become an economic driver for the community for years and decades to come.

As we have just embarked upon this shared visioning process, it would be premature to provide detailed plans or diagrams as to what the specific aspects of the redevelopment may be. However, we can provide you with examples of how a 17 acre vacant parcel at Depot Square can become the focal point of a comprehensive approach to redeveloping your downtown, as is demonstrated in the renderings and 3D animated video below.
