I’d like to invite you all to attend an upcoming concert on Saturday, March 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church on the Federal Hill Green in Bristol. Carrie Johnson and her band will be the featured artists and I’d love for you all to check her out because she was one of the bands we were trying to book for last summer’s Pop Up Piazza Festival.
Carrie is a singer/songwriter who has opened for the Goo Goo Dolls and Lisa Loeb. She has sung backup for Paula Abdul, Debbie Gibson and Belinda Carlisle and this past summer, she and her band made it all the way to the “final four” of groups to open for Bon Jovi at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
Carrie is very excited about what is happening in Bristol with the downtown project and wants to meet all of us that have spearheaded the campaign to make artists an integral part of the future of Bristol.
If you have any questions about the concert, let me know. This is a benefit concert to support the First Congregational Church’s Philippines Mission Fund. A suggested donation of $15 can be made at the door……and there will be FOOD!
Hope to see you all there!
